Budget Friendly Florals

Hailey, on November 14, 2022 at 1:43 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
Hi y’all! Any good recommendation or ideas on cost friendly florals?? All the floral companies I have reached out to have been very pricey and I find it hard to dedicate to since they don’t last forever. We also don’t need a ton of florals, but if anyone has good recommendations or how to make florals budget friendly I’d appreciate it!

If you use in-season flowers it's generally less expensive. Fewer BMs means fewer bouquets. You can have centerpieces without flowers, some people use candles, books, games, feathers - whatever you can imagine. Potted plants are less expensive than cut flowers, for the most part. We got married outside, so we didn't need florals for the ceremony space.

Hi Hailey. Becky gave good ideas. The more bridesmaids, the more cost overall including gifts. But, if you do have a wedding party, I would recommend artificial bouquets, and cloth bouts as these don't get much use after the ceremony. Or you can do fresh bouquets, and use them as centerpieces in a vase. I would also look at grocery store flowers for diy arrangement or you could completely go with non-floral centerpieces. Good luck.

I'm using sola wood flowers from Etsy. I like the idea of having everything ahead of time and not worrying about what the fresh flowers will look like. The sola flowers don't actually cost much less than regular flowers, but I plan to resell them after, so will recoup some of the expense. Also, because I don't have to worry about them wilting, I can DIY everything without a time crunch, which saves money.

We're working with the floral department at our local Safeway! They've been great, and very budget friendly.

That's great that they can do the flowers at a decent price. It did not seem like a chain market would want to handle that much of a task.

Agree with this. They have beautiful flowers at low prices. There are tips and tricks such as flower food packets from the florist that are added to the water to extend the life of the bouquets. Or add aspirin to the water.

Some grocery stores have in store floral departments where you can set up an appointment to speak with the florist about what you want and they can provide everything at low prices as well.
Many couples do not want artificial flowers that take up space and collect dust before being tossed into a landfill and never decompose. They will purchase fresh flowers that you can’t replicate the scent or texture with artificial, and invest in a high quality photographer to capture all the memories of the day, including the flowers that fade.

Baby's breath and eucalyptus go a long way. Minimalism is an elegant style of its own
