Photography is what I'm spending the most on, it's the most important thing to me personally. As for flowers, we're doing all artificial. I got my bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 8 corsages and 12 boutonnieres for $170 on Amazon. I'll be a buying a few more flowers here and there to add to my bouquet and for some décor, but that shouldn't be more than $100-$150 if that.

I think it really depends on your overall budget and what your priorities are. Photography was one of our top priorities, so we didn't mind splurging on it. Obviously if your budget is $5k, you can't afford to spend $3k+ on photography. There's no specific number that works for every couple.

I definitely spent a little time shopping around and researching on different florists and photographers in my area so I can get the best deal possible. For flowers, I was able to find a local wholesale florist and only spend about $1,000 for flowers (which was a great deal being that I was being quoted between $2,800-$3,200). For photography, I paid and was quoted about the same for a local photographer (if not a little more) that included full day wedding coverage and engagement photos, plus an extra shooter. My advice is to shop around and research

Photography was on the top of my list. We were okay with splurging a little bit to make sure we got what we wanted, but ended up being way under what we expected and getting a lot more. He's charging us $2800 for an engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner coverage, and a full day on wedding day (16ish hours). He's been awesome and I am beyond excited. Flowers for us we're as big of deal. We talked to four vendors and picked the lowest one. I think that came in under $700 for my bouquet, toss bouquet, 8 bridesmaids, 12 bouts, and 2 corsages.

My priority going into the wedding was having quality photos to last, we spent $1,500 for our photographer to stay for 5 hours. For flowers, we were being quoted ridiculous amounts, and I decided to DIY and found a whole sale supplier in my town who lets you use their work space, tools, and fridge space. It was amazing, and we spent around $400 for 10 center pieces, my bouquet, bm bouquet, and a large floral piece for the entry table.

I’m in CT and my photographer is $125/hour, but he’s a former colleague of mine from when I worked in events, so I’m not sure if that’s his going rate. We’re not using a florist, but I got the centerpiece flowers wholesale for $210 from FiftyFlowers.com and silk flower bouquets and boutonnières for $350 (I have terrible allergies, so I didn’t want flowers close to my face all day!)
