Brunch Reception Dress Code

I was thinking Summer cocktail attire is a perfect way to word that!

I think summer cocktail or dressy casual would work great!

Stick to an actual dress code to avoid confusion. Casual, semi-formal, formal, etc. If I received an invitation that said “summer cocktail” or “beach chic” for example, I would be calling up the couple to figure out what that means.

I would not list a dress code for a morning after brunch. people know how to dress for brunch.

I'd be really confused by "summer cocktail." I associate cocktail dresses with evenings and dark, knee length dresses, not summer. To me, cocktail dresses and sundresses are the opposite.


Maybe put on your wedding website that this is a brunch wedding and sundresses would be fine

My daughter had a brunch reception and put "Garden Party Atture" on her website (sundresses for ladies, khakis for men).

I agree with Lady. People know how to dress for brunch. I wouldn't put a dress code specifically with the invite.

Ooh, I'm going to disagree, I've seen many who dress down for brunch. It is a trendy thing here with DJ's and bottomless bloody mary bars. However, I do think people know how to dress for a wedding. For added direction, I would just add "semi-formal" to your wedding website.
