Brunch Buffet Ideas

Mikala, on July 24, 2019 at 10:54 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
FH and I are thinking of having a brunch buffet for our reception. We are both huge fans of breakfast foods. My question is.. if you were invited to a brunch reception, what kinds of food would you like to eat? We met with a great caterer that is willing to make anything we ask for! Just looking for some more ideas, thanks in advance!

In addition to what pp mentioned, I’d also have some kind of salad and a lunch option- maybe a pasta or carving station.

Something like a French toast casserole could be good and easy to mass produce. Mini pastries could also be good, and I'm in full support of a mimosa bar haha

I went to a brunch wedding and it was great! They had the basics: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, and pastries. They also had Captain Crunch French toast which was a big hit!

Mimosas are a good idea, but you can make it more interesting by offering various fruit juices instead of just OJ. Our signature cocktail will be a pear and thyme mimosa, for example.

Definitely need some waffles and/or French toast. I agree with a PP about more savory lunch type options as well, like maybe a Cobb salad option, some mac and cheese. Here's a menu from one of the most popular brunch spots around my way: http://greeneggscafe.com/menu-philly/

Mimosas! Egg dish plus something with meat in it and/or a choice of breakfast meats to kind of flesh out the meal. Waffle station maybe? Maybe even an omelette station for some razzle dazzle?

Fancier brunch things I’d see at a nicer restaurant for Easter brunch, like eggs benedict, smoked salmon display and petite fours. Plus gimme that yummy stuffed french toast and waffles!
