Bridmaid dresses - a mix of long and short?

I am in the same boat! I wanted them to pick but then a friend told me they should all be short or long as photos would look funny--and I haven't found any where the girls had different lengths. I think what I am going to do is let them pick the dress but state they need to be the same length. I wish I had more input for you!!

It should def be all long or all short

There's a bride here whose BMs all had different dresses and it looked just awesome! Happy BMs make for better pictures than identical dresses.
