Bridesmaids Shoes - All the same or not?

Since my girls will be in long dresses, I dont really care what shoes they where. In any wedding I have stood up in and we were wearing long dresses, the bride didnt make us wear the same shoe, just the same color (Each time it happened to be silver so I bought a pair of Nina shoes and have worn them in 4 weddings so far). The one time we wore a dress where our shoes were clearly visable (dresses were tea length), the bride did ask we wear the same shoe and everyone was fine with that

I had some a few pregnant BMs so I just told them black shoes. I didn't want to be the reason any of them tripped. Also, I'm not into the uniformed thing. I gave them guidelines on the dress and that was it, they picked out the rest. I don't think it looked ghetto. But to each their own.

My BMs have gowns so I just picked the color (silver) and said they could wear whatever style of evening shoe they wanted and were comfortable. Same as Maltese ^...if they were in knee length dresses I would want them to be uniform.

My BMs are wearing long plum dresses so i just said any silver heel they want to wear is fine. My ceremony and reception is more formal and I trust them with finding nice heels. If they were in shorter dresses I would say the same.

Before I started planning my wedding I wanted everything uniform, but now that I am planning I realize that my BMs are very different. My MOH hates wearing heels and will probably want to wear really low ones (she's also tall), while my other 2 really good friends are more stiletto type of girls. I am going to let them pick their own shoes but all be the same color

My bridesmaids aren't even wearing the same dresses (just the same color). I honestly couldn't give a damn what shoes they wear, since they'll all look awesome no matter what. Couldn't even think of a good justification to ask them to spend extra money on matching shoes (or pay for it myself, for that matter).

They wore their own, I just asked they be silver/gray.

Its funny because I just got our photos back and if there was one thing I wasn't paying attention to, it was their shoes.

You won't pay attention to it as much as you think you will.

They are long dresses so it will be OK I think for different shoes, thanks ladies!

My BP gets to pick all their accessories, shoes, hairstyle, etc.... I hate conformity, but since we chose to do same dress for anyone, they get to add their own touches.

My BM's will be wearing mismatched, gray, knee length dresses. I keep picturing them wearing nude or coral shoes in my head, but I know some people aren't a fan. I'm undecided yet on whether or not to ask them to wear all the same color. We don't really have set wedding colors because the venue doesn't need much decor, but I've been thinking of adding a color simply for the BM shoes and the GM's ties.

Mine are in short dresses and different shoes. They just need to be silver. My girls are also in different dresses (same color).

I don't care what shoes they wear, but they must be black! It also helps that their dresses are long. Honestly, I could give a care in the world, but my mom thinks it would look better uniformed at least a bit.

My BMs will be wearing short dresses so my OCD wants them in the same shoes. But one of them already has a pair that are acceptable, so I'll probably just ask the other to get something similar so as not to make the costs higher than necessary.

I just asked them to pick shoes in a specific color and I don't care what they look like. I'd rather they be comfortable!

I told my girls I didn't care what style or height as long as they were silver

My MOH and one BM are wearing the same shoes, the other BM is not. Both models are similar (wedge, satin, colored purple with rhinestones) but the one BM doesn't wear anything higher than a few inches.

I asked them to choose a shade of coral or orange that suited the blue they pick for their dresses...my cousin wants to wear chucks; I'm not spending the money, so I don't really want to complain lol

My girls and I have the same style of shoe. Mine is a dark blue, and their shoes are a light blue. We all liked the same style of shoe at the store.

My BM will have long dresses so their shoes won't be very noticeable. I also don't want to have to pick something out, so I'm letting them pick. Something silver and dressy.

My girls are all the same. I brought their shoes as a part of their bridesmaid's gift.
