Bridesmaids proposal ideas

Lulu, on June 24, 2019 at 3:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 16
Hi guys! I am wondering if you have any ideas for bridesmaids proposals? I live across the country from my bridesmaids and from where our wedding will be...so I would like to find something that is affordable but still cute and thoughtful...I do plan on spoiling them with a nice gift on the day of the wedding! Please share your unique ideas! Thank you!!

I just made them cute personalized proposal baskets. One loves Harry Potter so I found a wand, the other one loves horoscopes and all things beauty. I’m planning to give these two personally, since I’ll be visiting where they live very soon (for wedding planning).
For matron of honor I made a book with photos of us since 2007! At the end of it I’m asking her if she will be my matron of honor. For her I’ll probably mail the book, some bath salts, lip gloss , and mask . I’m still trying to figure out how to safely mail her the little bottle of rose or champagne.
if you are going to where they live (or even near them) anytime soon, it would be easier for you and nicer to ask them in person. In my case I will have to do a lot of extra traveling to give each one the gifts while I’m in the same state for wedding planning but I think it’s easier than shopping. That way I know they get it!

I had to mail 8/9 bridesmaid proposal boxes. I got wood jewelry boxes from Michaels & put liquor shooters, nail polish, and hair ties in each one.

I wish I did that! I didn't propose to mine but wish I had because it's super cute.

Thank you! They turned out much cheaper than buying premise boxes from Etsy or the stores. I spent about $22 on average per box. I found face masks at CVS btw, they have a huge selection of cute spa products.

That is also more personal. I love DIY projects so I’m sure to have fun with this. I can’t wait to ask them!

I made my girls personalized boxes, but they were all local to me. I'm sure something like that would be costly with shipping.

My brother's fiancée asked her sister (who lives 5 hrs away) to be her MOH by having a dozen donuts from her favorite bakery to delivered to her work. On the donuts she had the bakery ice "MOH?" on them. It was really cute.

I designed my own card on Shutterfly with pictures of us that said will you be my bridesmaid and the date of the wedding. Each one was different with different pictures for each girl. And then hand wrote a letter asking saying why I love them and want them to be in the wedding. I felt it was very personal and special.

My girls all live on the far side, I bought them all the attached & personalized the card to match them & wrote a handwritten card. It was perfect, bc it came in it’s own box & was cheap to ship. All the girls liked them & I know 2x of them wears them pretty regularly.

I’d love to ship a small bottle of champagne. Did you have trouble with shipping? Everything I’ve read says no places (ups, usps, fedex) will ship alcohol....so did you just wrap it up good and hope it went through?

I hand delivered a few of them and yes...I just wrapped and shipped and hoped for the best but I honestly didn't know you couldn't ship alcohol and I've done it for years by honest mistake. The one's I shipped made it no issues to where they were supposed to go.

Ahh got it! Darn I was hoping you found somewhere that would ship. I didn’t know that either until I started wedding planning!
