bridesmaids not ordering dresses?

Mrs. G, on November 3, 2016 at 9:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

My wedding is on April 29, 2017 I finalized my decision because everyone basically rushed me to and now none of my bridesmaids are ordering the dress. I have 7 in total (6 that need to order dresses - the other is a matron of honor and is getting her own dress).

I'm just worried they won't order it. I chose the less pricier dresses and online (Azazie) to make it easy for my 4 out of town bridesmaids.

When should I say a final date since I know they may need alterations?

How long does the site say it will take for the dresses to come?

If they don't order then they can attend as guests. Simple as that.

You still have plenty of time! I'm letting my BMs pick their own dresses and only one has ordered so far as well. I wouldn't stress it yet!

I'm in the same boat as you. My wedding is April 22, 2017. I have 4 bridesmaids which includes my MOH. 2 have got dress and the other 2 have not. One doesn't like dress she picked anymore and wants another dresss in a different color. The dress came in about a month for the 2 that did order. I tend to overthink this and worry that when they do finally order it will take longer or dress will be out of stock Etc.

My weddings in March and I'm going through azazie too! Smiley smile None of my bridesmaids have ordered yet either...or even gotten measured! I think the website quotes 3-4 weeks to come in! And I've heard people say they usually come sooner. I wouldnt start worrying until about the 3 month mark!

A friend of mine used that site and her bridesmaids waited to order. By the time they did the dresses were on clearance. If you love the dresses, I'd order sooner than later!!

My sister ordered her azazie dress this week and it's not coming in until 2-3 weeks before the wedding. She's my maid of honor. The dress typically takes 4-5 weeks to come in. I wouldn't worry. Give them end of February deadline. That will give them plenty of time to get over the holidays and to get fit again(that's the main reason my girls waited)

I will give them by the end of this year or they can have the choice to seat next to Aunt Sally as a guest

I have the same wedding day and we are using David's. I actually called DB today to ask when is the latest we can order. She suggested January- which is what I also told the BMs. My MOH is MOH for a wedding in December so I know her mind and focus is on that because she and that bride are VERY close. And my FSIL is a BM who just gave birth 3 weeks ago. I know at least these 2 will wait until January. Not sure of the other 3...they may wait too. Christmas coming can cramp some budgets right now...

I did Azazie because most of my bridesmaids (4) are out of town. I think some of them are worried about the color, but I thought the color through (I've seen all of them in that color and they do look good in it) and also there is uplighting that will look great with the dress! They kept saying I needed to let them know about the dresses. I've decided now and now they're not even ordering. I gave them two options and gave them a tape measure so they can get their measurements. I know one of my bridesmaids has ordered from Azazie before so she can just copy the measurements down. My MOH is a bridesmaid in another wedding so she already has measurements. Funny thing is, that wedding is after mine but she ordered that dress - not mine... Kind of annoyed because my mother keeps yelling at me to get on it. It's not like I have any say in if they order it or not as it's up to them right?

I guess I'll give them to the end of January or they can be a guest...

Oh my gosh....wtf is going on lately??? Assuming everyone's bridesmaids are adults, why can't you people just tell them which dress to buy and then move on?!

For my sisters, we went in March/April- dresses came in like May or June and our alterations were done by August. My sisters one bridesmaid was pregnant and ended up needing a new size- It came quick and was still able to get alterations done by end September. Depends on the company and who you are using for alterations.

I would just give them the final date to order and let them figure it out. Out of all of my girls, one has gotten her dress. I'm not stressing them, they know when the deadline is.

Just tell them when the deadline is and if they don't order then i guess they'll be guests at the wedding. We are ordering the bridesmaid dresses from David's bridal and they told me to have them ordered by January- i have a feeling a few of my bridesmaids won't order until much later.... lol

I sent a group text telling them to order by Dec 9th especially if they need it altered I told them everything David's Bridal told me...I also send a group text when they have a sell on the dress. I'll remind them again on Dec 1st otherwise it will not be altered or they will not be in the wedding since I told them wayyyy ahead of time...I feel if they don't purchase it timely maybe that's their way of saying they don't want to be in the wedding
