Just curious, why do some of you dislike the suits?

I like the idea but ultimately what a bridesmaid feels comfortable in should be left up to them. I let my BMs decide fabrics & style of dress and went from there. They're the ones that have to wear their outfit all day, not me. So although I like the suits, it's not a good idea to force it on anyone.

Not a fan. They look like waiters.

I hate wearing pants, so id be reeaaaaall uncomfortable. however, im a big proponent of letting bridesmaids pick their own outfits within a certain formality or color scheme, so id have no issue if one wanted to wear a suit. I'd be irritated if it was forced upon me, though.

I saw a gold and black suit I wanted one of my nieces to wear as a RB, but she said girls wear dresses and I couldn't get her to budge. I really like the look, and considered it for myself.

I think I would have had a mutiny on my hands had I suggested suits instead of dresses. While I think the wedding party in the picture pulled it off, eh, it's just not my style.

I actually love it! Women in a nice fancy well fitted suit is hot! My sister (who is a BM) is not a dress person and I completely encouraging her to wear a suit. I want her there because she's her and wearing a dress is not her who why would I ask her to wear a dress?!

Not a fan. For one, I had to really look to tell who were the bridesmaids and who were the groomsmen, because only the bride stood out. For another, while women can absolutely dress formally without being in a dress, I personally just think that dresses look nicer than the suits and yes, than the jumpsuits, on the women, and make them stand out as the bridesmaids. I also personally like that the dresses look much more feminine than the suits.

Tbh though, I don't know any women who would rather wear a suit in a wedding than a dress.

I'm all for letting the bridesmaids wear what's comfortable, but I think of a BM decided she would wear a suit a jumpsuit I'd be like nah.

I mean it's different if she's gender fluid, but if it's just to stand out or be stylish I'm not a fan. I want my bridesmaids to be comfortable but I think there should be some form of uniformity. I.e. Same fabric, color and all dresses

I love anyone in a well tailored suit, but I do feel it would have to be like the edgiest wedding ever to pull it off successfully. One of my bridesmaids was planning on wearing sequined pants, but they didn't fit her quite right.

The style of those suits are not my favorite, however, I am a fan of a well tailored suit. I have one that I adore. I call it my power suit. I LOVE well made jumpsuits too.

I would never force anyone to wear something they are not comfortable in.

I think it's very 90's, but my other concern is, what do your bridesmaids wear to work? I wear a suit every day to work and would be bummed if I had to put one on on a Saturday for a wedding.

It's not my style, but I would think it was super cute if I saw someone else do it!

I think it's just a personal thing maybe. I know myself and my BM would prefer dresses and we were in a dance group where our uniforms were well tailored suits ( and we looked damn good) but yeah I vote dresses

I think in theory it's cool but not my thing. Also I think you'd have to have just the right group of people to pull it off. I personally look terrible in a suit so I'd be a little put off if I were asked to wear a suit!

I don't feel strongly one way or the other about it. If your girls are in why not? A well tailored suit can make you (well, me anyway) feel like you could rule the world.

I came across this a few weeks ago and feel like I need (like NEED) to have it. Not for my wedding, but just in general.

I always thought skirt suits would be nice for certain themes (flight attendant bridesmaid for travel theme).

One of my bridesmaids is uncomfortable wearing dresses. She said she would for the wedding but I thought it was silly to have her wear something she wasn't comfortable in. She is wearing a suit that will be similar to the groomsmen. I also have a man of honor on my side so it will even out. She was very concerned with making my wedding look "silly." I told her I appreciated the sentiment but she isn't there to be a prop. She is there to be a formal witness to my union. I want her standing with me on one of the most important days of my life.
