Bridesmaids hair up or down?

Depends on what their dresses look like. Mine are all doing something up because of the neckline of the dress

These are the dresses in marine (navy blue).

Mine are wearing theirs up. They all said it would just be easier and would keep the style longer than if it was down.

One of my BMs has a pixie cut, one has curly hair that doesn't quite reach her shoulders, the MOH has long hair. They're all going to choose however they want it done. We are paying for their hair and makeup.

I let mine decide and they all wore their hair down. I wore mine up.

With your dress choice, I think either way would be lovely. Down would look very red carpet.

I would do up, my BMs dresses have a very similar neckline.

I would let them do what they want, picking out their dresses for them is enough. They're your friends. They aren't paper dollies for you to decide every little detail for them.

All if my bridesmaids have long straight hair.

I am wearing mine half down so all my bridesmaids will have updos.

My BMs are very indecisive. I originally told them I wanted them to pick out their dresses, but they insisted I do it. The same goes for the hair. I get a lot of "whatever you want, it's your day". They're awesome! But I can't make decisions very well either.

My BMs all have different dresses. I gave them a picture of what I was doing for the ceremony and told them to pick something that fit their dress.

I WANT to go all bride-zilla and tell them what to do with their hair (believe me, it's driving me crazy) BUT after much consideration and discussion with them and other family/friends I have realized that they all have very different hair types/lengths and it's just not realistic to try and make them all have the same hair that day. I am letting them each decide what they want to do but I am buying little cork screw rhinestones for them to put in their hair. As long as they work those in somehow and they actually go get their hair done, then I'm good!

Mine was half up half down. The girls wore theirs up.

Has anyone done ponytails? Curled and kind of glam or even like side ponytails?

My bridesmaids can wear their hair however they want; I'm not asking them to do anything except wear the dress that the MOH chose. I've been a BM so many times and had hair/makeup/jewelry dictated to me each time, and that's ok. Doesn't matter to me. I'm loose as a goose on this stuff -- I want them to do their own thing and feel beautiful. They know best how to do that.

I'm having my girls wear theirs up and mine will be up also. I don't care what style they decide to get, just as long as it's up. I'm also getting married in the middle of August...having our hair down would be so hot!

Mine will probably all wear their hair up just because of the heat. But I think it is also easier to deal with when it is up. But I'm leaving the decision up to them. Maybe find some hairstyles that you like and then ask them to pick from there??
