Bridesmaids gifts

Brianna, on December 27, 2021 at 9:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
I want to get my bridesmaids a “thank you” gift. I was thinking robes, slippers and one other item but I can’t think of what I want to get them. I’m trying find something that’s cute but won’t break the bank. Any ideas?

Robes, pjs, jewelry (earrings, necklaces), tote bags, and similar items that are marketed as bridesmaid gifts are actually props for you, not gifts for them. They will get donated to Goodwill or tossed out, especially if you have names and titles put on them.

Instead, think of them as individuals. What would you buy for each person separately if it was their birthday or Christmas that goes with their personal interests and hobbies not related to the wedding at all? Set a price range equal or similar for each person within your budget. Etsy, Target and anywhere else is a great place to browse for ideas.

I got mine a tote bag, bracelet, lotion, and a blanket. I didn't put bridesmaids on anything just their names on the tote bag. I know they will reuse the tote bags

You could get them each something different that is based on their individual interests/hobbies for the last item! A makeup bag or travel jewelry case for someone who loves dressing up. A ticket stub memory book for someone who loves concerts. A personalized wine glass with a wine charm and/or a bottle of wine with a personalized label for someone who loves wine. A fancy bookmark and a gift card to a bookstore for someone who loves to read. Candles, hand lotion, fuzzy socks, and/or soft blankets would all be good gift ideas as well.

I got mine a pajama set from Victoria Secret, a nautical tote bag, and earrings they can wear for the wedding. I wanted to get things that they would be able to reuse again and again. I'm thinking of getting each one of them one item in the bag that is specific to them. And I got cute thank you cards and will write a nice message to them

If you decide to go the robes and slippers route maybe you can make it like a spa basket and pick up some some nice lotions, a candle, face masks, or bubble bath and a tasty treat! Its thoughtful of you to get your bridesmaids a gift, have fun shopping!

I'm giving my BM's jewelry to wear on the day of the wedding, tumblers w/their names and a gift card inserted into the tumbler. I'm also paying for their makeup.

I got my bridesmaids matching makeup bags, each containing a lip gloss, hand cream, and hand sanitizer. I was in David's Bridal for my final fitting, and they happened to be having a massive clearance sale on bridesmaid gifts. I also ordered custom prints from Etsy that were the five of us. lastly, I got them each a gift that was more catered to them as individuals. For one, I got a t-shirt that read "Easily distracted by dogs and books", another I got an Etsy gift card, and for my sisters, I got them each books.
