Bridesmaids Dresses

I chose about 10 different dresses on Azazie (all the same length, color, and fabric) and allowed my girls to choose amongst them. I said that I didn't care if they ended up all the same, all different, or two the same/one different. Each of them ended up choosing a different dress. They will all look great together!

So you pretty much narrowed it down by selecting the 10 and giving them the option to choose from those. So you were open minded even if they did choose the same style. Sometimes I get overwhelmed. There are so many to pick from and decide which fits your vision and personality the best as well as making each one feel comfortable. So were your BM pretty much ok with your selection? Before going with Azazie did you go to any stores to see what was out there first to make sure there wasn’t other opportunities before going with these? Do you feel this part, picking their dresses was easier to managed compared to all else we have to do?

View Quoted Comment My bridesmaids live all over the country so we didn't go to any stores. I ordered color swatches from Azazie to pick the color. I looked through all of the floor length dresses in our color to see which ones I liked. They offer a try on at home option for a low cost so my bridesmaids were able to try on at home if they wanted. I have heard of other brides using this to see the dresses in person to decide. One of my bridesmaids did the try at home option and the other two didn't. It was SO much easier compared to all of the other decisions I have had to make.

I forgot to mention, as far as them not picking the same dress, I set up a Google Sheet where they could fill in the color and styles they wanted so everyone could see what everyone else had picked to make sure there were no duplicates. Of course I had to run interference on a couple...and don't get me started on FMIL and her opinions of what my FSIL should wear...but it's all turned out good so far!

I know I actually went to the fabric stores when I first started looking & got a few swatches to make sure I got the exact colors I wanted as they can be in various shades. That is really great that they have the option to try on dresses at home without having to purchase the dresses outright to then be returned. That was a concern of mine at least with the guys since they are out of the country. Easier is always better for sure.

I am glad that there is not a concern I already got her dress way before anyone else, my mother saw it thought of her na picked it up ASAP so FMIL is done lol. My FSIL they prefer my opinion as they always comment on my style of dress and when I showed them a preview of a few of the dresses they were in awe of how lovely they looked so that part they trust my opinion. I also just want them to always feel comfortable as well. A google sheet nice haven’t heard of that so that is definitely a great idea as well. There is a lot going on with each part for sure.

We have 3 women in our bridal party, all with very different body types. I want them to feel confident and be comfortable in what they're wearing, so we've elected to have them pick a style that they like, but all have to be from the same place and the same color. Originally I wanted them to be wearing the scarlet color, main color of our wedding, but I've since decided black would be best. All 3 were much happier with black, too, because they all feel like they will have other opportunities to wear the dress again. I also don't want them to break the bank on a dress for our wedding, and all of us are "hate to shop" type females LOL so I ordered my dress from JJs House and had the 3 of them decide between 2 online stores that offer online shopping - JJsHouse and DressFirst, which cut the cost and gave them more options. I offered to help them all with getting their measurements and, if needed, alterations.

Having less bridesmaids helps with making these decisions in addition to your deciding on black gives them more choices and as you mentioned wearing the dresses more than just your wedding. If you don’t like shopping being as specific to the point is always best less time spending on shopping and figuring it out lol less of a headache for all of you especially you lol. I will take a look at those online stores have not heard of them. That is good once you have the measurements that helps as well because you could if you chose to go ahead and decide on their dresses since you already had their sizes but allowing them to decide and not break the bank is always helpful and makes for a better journey.
