Bridesmaids Dresses, match or mix?

I had a hard time deciding this too. Originally, I wanted a couple shades of blue. Then it was so stressful matching what shades would go, and trying to figure out how to decide which girl wears what, I opted out of it. I picked a color, length and fabric from Azazie and let the girls pick their own dress. I have 9 bridesmaids and they all picked different dresses!

I'm a big fan of the same color in whatever style suits them. We gave each girl a different color and let them choose their own dresses, but I don't think this works with many color schemes.

We are doing same color different style. I think this is better than same style different color, because most people would care more about picking their own style than picking their own color. My girls all have such different body types that I wouldn't dream of forcing them all into the same dress! I am sure they would've been fine with it if I had asked them to all be in the same style, but they all really appreciated being able to choose their own style. They liked the color I chose anyway so that worked out

With different styles but all in the same color scheme, that could work too but I would worry that it may be complicating choosing who wears which color.

As part of their “thanks for agreeing to be my bridesmaid” gift, I put 4 swatches from David’s Bridal. The girls could choose whatever dress they wanted of those colors.

This kind of decision helped lead me to only want one attendant. But personally, I think as long as the dresses are all the same length, and the same color palette (you don't want a lot of dusty pinks and mauve and then one electric blue) it looks beautiful. Picking one or two colors you like from Azazie or wherever helps narrow it down so nobody gets overwhelmed with choice.

Same color with their choice of style is the way to go in my opinion. That way it’s not too distracting for guests and photos. I’ve seen many people do the different colors, even my aunt, and while looking through photos I end up looking at the bridal party more than the bride and groom. I recommend all one color, or within the color scheme. It keeps the focus on the bride and groom while letting the girls find the kind of dress they love!

Yeah! All my girls have ordered theirs and most have received them and all love them!

I love when bridesmaids wear the same color but have different dresses. Your girls are all unique- let them where a dress that resembles who they are while sticking to the color palette

I would recommend looking at photos on Pinterest to help you decide which look you prefer.

If I do all the same color, how do you suggest making the maid of honor different?

Mine are picking their dress style but all wearing the same color. My girls are getting there dresses from Azazie (as others have mentioned) and they have hundreds of styles to choose from!

I love all the same color (maybe a diff color for MOH), but other than that I would like all the same color and style. Luckily all my bridesmaids love what I picked out... but I am paying for their dresses so even if they didn’t love it they wouldn’t be losing any money for an outfit they don’t like.
