I have my wedding dress and I know how I want the guys to look (attached). But what would be better for the bridesmaids? Short or long? Also, my theme is Lord of the Rings and my colors are earth tones so olive green, biscotti, and cinnamon

I hate short bridesmaids dresses - I think they look informal and childish. I will always vote for midi (low calf) or longer dresses. Plus with long dresses you eliminate the variable of visible shoes, giving maids a little more freedom to wear heels, flats, wedges, sandals, or even different shoe colors, depending on what they have and are most comfortable in.

What time of year it the wedding and will it be indoor or out? With the groomsmen in vests vs jackets, if in summer and outside, would choose short. If it is this fall, long would work too.
