Bridesmaid Umbrella or No Umbrella

I thought since I'm having a summer wedding why not have umbrellas for the Bridesmaids to keep the Sun out their face or could help keep their hair in place

One thing I never thought of until a photographer pointed it out: That in very bright sunlight, faces become " flat", sun sort of washes out features because there are no shadows, and the reflected light alters the relative light off skin, vs clothes. Our parasol pictures, and others taken under a very tall tree, deep shade, kept our faces in shade, neither backed up to light ( mostly side to sun, so parasols up and to that side away from faces) nor with sun on our faces, shaded by parasols, our facial features and details of hair and jewelry stood out very clearly. The photographer was fussy about how we turned, where we held parasols. Absolutely worth it, for the greater detail showing with faces shaded. And, no one with eyes narrowed to slits semi-squinting as happens in bright light. Everyone's cheeks and brows were relaxed, and eyes wide open and dramatic where emphasized with make up. So if it is a bright, clear sunny day, photos with parasols make give better facial definition for pics. A plus none of us had thought of. But I later compared some pics to those from a wedding weeks before, in bright sun, and not surprisingly, the photographer was right. Lots of the bright sun pics, we were all sqinting, washed out makeup and features. Shots from the wedding with parasols, or some later standing in deep shade, no squinters, no reflection off glass as, and clearer faces. A benefit of parasols .

How long is your ceremony? Will they hold these instead of bouquets?
