    It's going to cut really close.

    i had covid. technically now they say you can leave quarantine after day 5 but i tested regardless because i wanted to be sure i was negative. so on day 5 i was still positive. on day 7 i was negative. i've other friends who were negative after less than 10 days too.

    ya really never know.

    so i think it really depends on how close you wanna cut it and if you and her are comfortable with attending.

    so here's also a CDC calculator to let you know when it would be "okay" to leave quarantine: COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation | CDC

    ^ this takes into account if you have symptoms, etc

    The CDC recommends 5 day quarantine, now. I would have her do what Melle did and just test on day 5, 6, 7, 8 and if she isn't negative by day 8, I'd say she should probably miss. Although some people take COVID lighter than others, so I think ultimately it's up to you! Even so, I think if she tested negative on day 9, she's likely fine.

    True. I would try not to worry, consider that all of your guests know the risks of social gatherings and it is NOT your fault if people get sick, if your bridesmaid tested negative and you allowed her to come. We are all grown and we know that not only COVID, but the flu and many viruses for children are possible when going to events like weddings!

    Oh man that stinks! I hope she is doing well and on the mend. CDC says you can leave quarantine after 5 days if you are fever free(the cough can linger for a long time) but I believe its recommended you still wear a mask everywhere for 10 days. If she s testing prior to the wedding I d recommend it not being a home test but instead a PCR. Personally I d probably have her skip it I hear the most common variant is very contagious and I won't want others to get it if at all avoidable. Maybe you can have her join in virtually. Such a bummer best of luck to you!

    Well now if she Quarantines now this day will start her first day and stays in 4more days then she will be ok. As long as no other symptoms shows up then she goodPlus see if she can get a home covid testing to test herself to make sure the day of the wedding.

    She should be fine as long as she hasn't had a fever for 24 hours and her symptoms are "improving". She might not be symptom-free yet and she might still be testing positive (some people test positive for weeks/months! This is such a weird virus. The CDC says first day of her symptoms is considered day zero. So, wait until day five is up and she should be good to go according to today's guidelines.

    Honestly someone WILL have covid at the wedding. The rapid tests are awful and will show Negative even when it's not true (my mom had to test like 4 times before it finally showed positive when she knew she was sick).

    Covid has not gone away and is extremely contagious and most people have no symptoms which is why they end up spreading it to everyone else so quickly. You just have to accept imo that someone will definitely be there who has it...

    We just had a work event where everyone was tested beforehand, and guess what? A bunch of people ended up catching it at the event anyway. It's unfortunate, but this is the world we live in now. :{

    My husband and I just had Covid two weeks ago. Once an individual tests positive, they are to quarantine (and possibly isolate in the home depending on if live with others) for the next 5 days. They are then to wear a mask while out and around others for days 6-10. The CDC website gives more specific details!

    Nurse here! I just got covid and tested positive on day 3. Current guidelines from the CDC state 5 days quarantine and then 10 days of masking in public.
    As always, check CDC guidelines again to be sure as things frequently change. As for your bridesmaid, if she feels better, quarantines 5 days, she can *technically* attend but MUST wear a mask for the entire duration.
    I’m not sure about you, but I have some older grandparents and family friends with compromised immune systems that I want to help protect. I would keep them in mind as you navigate this challenge

    If you need to know right this moment or before the 5 day deadline then call her out. If you can wait till day 6, have her test every day and see. If by day 8 she’s still positive you gotta call it.
