Bridesmaid Proposals

NM&GD, on December 13, 2019 at 10:38 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 3 29

Hello all!
So, I am of limited funds at the current time due to some ever so wonderful bills and of course Christmas, but I still haven't done a "formal" bridesmaid proposal. I know it isn't "required", but I want to make it special for my girls (and brother *man of honor*) So, for those who have done them, what did you do and how can I keep mine to a minimum of MAYBE $25 if it is lower cool if it is at least $30ish that's okay too, but trying to keep it simple and meaningful.

Thanks Brides!! Smiley heart

Etsy!!! I just ordered a set of 7 personalized stemless plastic champagne flutes for $35 total! I also found necklaces for $5 each! And you could get little champagne bottles at like total wine or BevMo probably. And bridesmaid sashes are super cheap on Etsy too!! You can order them in sets even!

And then write them each a little personal note and it would be perfect! Simple and inexpensive!

We just did nice little cards and arranged a dinner so we could ask all of the in town people at once Smiley smile it was such a sweet time and fond memory. I’m getting my party getting ready robes, personalized champagne flutes, personalized hangers, and earrings for the day of. I didn’t feel the need to give excessive gifts for the proposal but I would have if I had more money for it! I think that the above suggestions are great. I also sent my maid of honor a cute little box in the mail with a little gift and confetti inside (I can’t remember what the company is called) but it was perfect and she loved it! The box was less than $6 not including shopping, the tumbler was about $10 (you do not need) but the candle was $2.99, coffee $5.99 and cookies $2.99 (the last three I went to home goods)

I made these wedding cake gift boxes. If you have the time you can do something similar. These boxes opened up and had a note inside. Cost me $10 for paper & flowers and puff paint

I did a personalized coffee mug the said "a wedding is brewing, will you be my bridesmaid?" from Shutterfly. In the mug I put some hot cocoa, a little airliner bottle of vodka, and some chocolates. All in they cost me $16.37 a piece, and they were huge hit. I think every single one of them have sent me a picture of them using their mug.

I spent about that much per girl and got them a personalized candle saying "____, will be my Bridesmaid?" with our wedding date on it. Then added cute soap and made a pun out of it. One soap was shaped like popcorn, so i made a little card that said "He popped the questions, now it's my turn". Another one looked like coffee beans and i wrote, "There's something I've bean meaning to ask you..."

Got both little gifts on Etsy. They loved it and it was all practical things they can use.

OH MY GOSH you guys!!!! These are all amazing!!! I love it!!!!
I don't know if I could do succulents because my group of girls...well we aren't exactly the best at keeping plants alive (yes i know they are hardy plants) but even I have lost succulents lol. But I love the candle ideas! I seriously am considering that! I am also seeing what their fave drinks are, but other than that. My creative flow has been drained (no thanks to christmas lol)

Check out "wish"! They have super cute "bridesmaid"'s bracelets and they're really cheap, maybe you could buy some a bracelet or key chain (for your brother) and put them in small cure boxes with a handwritten message from you Smiley smile

I got cute "will you be my bridesmaid?" koozies online! Honestly though, a nice card is plenty! You should go bigger for their bridesmaid gift for the wedding anyway!

I made this myself. I got most everything at World Market on Black Friday so I saved a lot of money. I got the box at Target. So at regular price this box is worth about $50. That Champagne is real so this mini bottle is $20 but you can get sparkling wine for about $7. Its Christmas so the paper will be on sale right now for about $2. You can shop around for the candle and maybe get one for $5 (homegoods, Ross, TJMAX), the flask was $8 and the flowers are actually soap and the entire box of flowers was $8 (at regular price) and I split the box into 3. The box I put everything in was about $6 so all in all everything is about $30. I then wrote them personal notes and since I plan (#plannerbabe) i had a lot of stickers to make those cards look good. Have fun with it and dont stress.
