Bridesmaid jumpsuit Yay or Nay ?

Team_Rayford, on November 3, 2013 at 6:06 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 39

I just found these on AA website and I'm so in love . I always wanted something my girls can wear again. My only concern is the ceremony will be in a church is this appropriate ?

When I read the headline... I was going to put "nay" until I saw the pictures. I actually think they are beautiful!

I know they would be fine in my church (Lutheran) and i really cant see them being a problem in others (i could be wrong of course). I think they look like a long dress.

ETA: i thought the same as Paris at first

Nay. Sorry. I would be MUCH more likely to wear a dress again a romper/jumpsuit. Also, you have to get naked to go to the restroom in something like that. It's like a one piece bathing suit.

I like the look, but I have always hated rompers for the reasons GameCox stated. I like how it looks though!

I love it!! Like some of the others, the words "jumpsuit" I cringed, but these are beautiful. I'm not actually sure that anyone would notice it's a jumpsuit, and I certainly wouldn't think your church would have a problem. With my experience with restrictive ceremony venues, they're usually more concerned about the necklines and bare shoulders. I would wear it out again too... IDK if you have any bigger girls in your wedding, but to me, this would solve that uncomfortable thigh scraping rawness that bigger girls can get after a night of dancing. I say go for it, especially if you love them!

Looks great but its not very versatile so "Nay!" for me as well.

They are very pretty and I do not think there would be any issue with them in most churches, but GameCox makes a very good point.

Nay. For one, it really just looks like a dress from most angles so they might as well wear a dress. Two, Gamecox has a REALLY good point with the whole bathroom issue.

Idk but I dont think going to the bathroom is a huge issue. I'm going to text my girls and see what they say about it.

I actually really love that jumpsuit. I'd wear it with no hesitation, especially if its what the Bride wants me to wear. I don't think the bathroom would be that big of a deal. At the same time, it may not be flattering to all body types so you may want them to try it on before committing to it. And since your wedding is in March, they need a bolero or shrug.

Its pretty as a dress and I would actually wear it again if it were one, however the fact that its a jumpsuit/gaucho pant thing makes it very unappealing to me.

Nay only because you have to pull it down to use the bathroom. The front would be pretty if it was a dress

I wouldn't wear it - there's the bathroom factor and I'm bigger. If you have any bigger bridesmaids, prepare for unhappiness. If I was a BM and the bride was dead set on it, I would politely decline and bow out gracefully from the position.

Just to answer your question if this was church appropriate, I would say yes, but then again, I'm not a church goer. I've just seen similar cuts worn in churches.

If I were your bridesmaid, I'd happily wear whatever you tell me and have my boobies hang out when I pee. But if you were to ask me my opinion if I WANTED to wear it, I'd say no so I wouldn't wear it again.

I'm with OTW, I'd happily wear whatever you asked but I'd never wear that particular outfit again.
