One of my bridesmaids is most likely going to drop out of my bridal party. Her dog recently passed away and her job is too stressful where she feels she cannot handle the wedding on top of all of her personal problems. Im giving her until the end of this week to decide what she wants to do.

Then I'm most likely going to ask a close out-of-state friend to take her place. My wedding is June 11- will I have enough time to get a bridesmaids dress from Davids Bridal before then? (The dress won't need alterations).

Maybe she has to work that weekend and therefore will never make anything of herself?

She might have to look for an apartment to rent because her welfare check just came in.

If you say things in real life that you say here, I can't imagine why you have two bridesmaids left.

I'm surprised anybody is in your wedding after the hatefulness you've shown here. My only advice is to not replace her if she isn't there. And hopefully you treat them nicer then you treat the people here.

Maybe she's too intimidated by your dazzling, unphotographable beauty to show her face.

This is so mean. You should be supporting your friend, not giving her a deadline for when she needs to tell you if she can be in your wedding.

You do not replace bridesmaids. This is not the seventh grade.

"Very single" lmao. As opposed to slightly single? This idea is ghetto, unlike buffets. I figured you'd have a big bridal party, didn't you say on another post you're spending upwards of $30,000 on your wedding?

To answer the dress question......No, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have enough time. I think it's part of David's Bridal's mission statement. It takes extra long to get bridesmaids dresses so you can't replace your bridesmaids at the last minute......or something like that.

    Just rent a bridesmaid.

Maybe David's bridal can rent you one with a dress on? Since they're obviously just props in your wedding anyway. Stupid dog shouldn't have died, what a selfish jerk.

Be there for your friend and quit trying to replace her.

If she drops out just have two.

If I were "very" single I'd be hittin' up the buffet err'day! Might catch me one with a good appetite! ;D

Ostricher, you stole my line! I was going to tell her to rent one.

Don't replace your bridesmaid and if you haven't already given her your deadline to let you know by, please don't do that either. If you truly aren't asking her to do anything more than wear the dress and stand next to you, then how do you know she won't wake up the morning of your wedding and feel like doing just that?

Have a heart. Your friend's dog died. The dog probably treated her with more love, respect, and compassion than what you are displaying right now.

Bridesmaids are photo props, don't replace your friend. Be supportive in her hard time and let her know that all she has to do it show up, on time, mostly sober, in the agreed upon dress. If she shows up in a different dress then you will know she chose to attend as a guest instead. That is fine too.

Maybe you should pay her to be there so she can quit her job, since you're just making it rain money for your wedding?

Isn't your wedding too fabulous to have bridesmaids dresses from David's bridal? I'm surprised you don't find them ghetto.
