Bridesmaid dropped out

Amanda, on May 10, 2019 at 3:59 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 15

One of my bridesmaids lives out of state and just let me know that she won't be able to travel for our wedding. Our wedding is three months away and this leave us with one less bridesmaid than groomsmen. We were planning on having bridesmaids & groomsmen walk together. Does anyone else have an uneven wedding party? If so, how would you go about doing this if you do not have the same amount of people on each side. Thanks!

My friend just got married that I was a bridesmaid in and it just is what it is! 4 on her side and 5 on the guys side. For the recessional I walked back with 2 of the guys as we walked in by ourselves. No one else will really notice!

I would just have one groomsman walk with 2 bridesmaids. No big deal!

I would probably have the Maid of Honor walk by herself.

Here are some options. I have 2 bridesmaids and 1 groomsmen.

    1. Have a single groomsmen walk down first then the rest in pairs.

    2. Have them all walk down solo. (What I am doing)

    3. Ask Grandma/Mom to be a bridesmaid if you are close. Don't worry, she'll rock it.

    4. Ask another person to be a bridesmaid.

    5. Pair groomsmen and grandma/mom or other important family member.

You can also have best man walk in with FH. Then pair rest up. Nobody really cares about the recessional, so he could just walk by himself.

I had the same thing happen! We were always going to be uneven but now we're at 5 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen

Doing 2 groomsmens with bridesmaids on either side and best man and moh together. I think it'll work out ok

I have 10 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I am having the guys walk down alone and two girls arm and arm, alternating men, two maids, man, two maids etc. we are having our flower girl and ring bearer stand on his side to even things out.

For mine we are 4 on my side three on his, and I have a bridesman on my side, so we will be having them process single down the aisle.

One lucky gal gets 2 groomsmen! My friend got married with one extra bridesmaid and that’s how she handled it

I'll have 4 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen. We're going to have the best man and MOH walk together and then all the other bridesmaids will have 2 groomsmen, one on each arm

You could have them alternate. GM, BM, GM, BM, GM, etc. They could walk in and out like that
