Bridesmaid dresses! Help!

Amy , on February 28, 2018 at 3:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
So far wedding planning has been a breeze. Everything has fallen to place naturally..... until now. I find that I am VERY picky on the color I want the bridesmaid dresses to be. I want a wine color dress for my fall wedding. However, there is such a large spectrum and shades of this color. I find that the dresses I have found have been either too much on the purple/plum side or too much on the red side. Of course I see the color I want on Pinterest all the time, but not for purchase. I also have to keep in mind that my bridesmaids range from extremely small to plus size and I don’t want to ask them to spend more then $200 on a dress.

1) Do y’all have any positive bridesmaid dress experience from purchasing online? What website do y’all recommend?
2) are there any boutiques in the dallas area that y’all recommend?

The attached pic pic is the color I am looking for.😊

We used Weddington Way for a wedding I was in last year and the dresses were beautiful.

A lot of people go through Azazie. There's tons of color and style choices and I've heard mostly good reviews.

I am using Azazie - they have about 3 shades that could work for you. Sizes for petite to plus, plenty of styles, and prices range from $99-$159 plus $10 shipping.

I’m in the same boat! I can’t find colors that look good IRL. The trouble with internet pictures is you have no idea how much the colors were tweaked during the editing process.

You can try lulus. My colors are blush and burgundy. But only my maid of honor is wearing burgundy so it's a little easier to find one but lulus has a lot of options.

Davids Bridal has sangria and wine. I think one of these would be a good match for you.

Check Azazie and order some color swatches. They have free custom sizing which worked great for my girl's who range in street sizes from a juniors 3 to women's 16.

This is so tough!!!! I was looking for a great wine color and my bridesmaids dresses ended up looking way more red than burgundy!

Azazie's Cabernet looks like it might be dark enough!

The Wine color at David's Bridal was the perfect shade of maroon for our wedding. Check it out! We also got bridesmaid dresses on sale for $79 there and they were actually nicer than some of the $200 ones we had seen at other stores.

As someone who has never been a fan of David's Bridal, I will say, that utilizing them for bridesmaid dresses was the best decision I made.

I have bridesmaids ranging drastically in height (5'2 - 5'11) as well as size (very slim - plus size). David's Bridal was really the only store I found that offers a wide range of sizes to accommodate every girl in my BP as well as offered a fairly large selection of dress styles. I also was trying to be cost conscious, which was another plus to David's Bridal; all dresses were under $180 each. An added bonus is that they have locations everywhere, which works perfectly since my BP is spread out over 3 states, so each girl is able to go to the DB closest to her for alterations and fittings of her dress.

I'm not sure if they'll have the exact color you're looking for, but in regards to the varying sizes of girls in your BP and the cost of the dresses you're hoping to find, I think David's Bridal is a terrific option.
