Bridesmaid Dress Colors for Light Gold Wedding Dress

Hello Everyone!

I bought my dress! It is by Rebecca Ingram (called Molly) and it is a sheath dress with a lace overlay. The sheath part is light gold and the lace overlay is ivory (I have attached a picture, but I'm not sure it does the color justice). I love how the gold helps the lace to stand out. My FH wants to wear a navy suit with brow shoes/belt with a tie color to be determined. I love the mismatched bridesmaid dress look so was going to tell my girls (6 in total) to pick whatever kind of dress they would like in the dusty blues/greys/silvers color scheme. Now I am wondering if I should go with a slightly different color scheme (maybe dusty pinks?) to better match my warmer color of my dress and the guys brown shoes. Has anyone had a gold dress? Would anyone share some pictures of their bridal party? I guess it is the light gold and brown vs. silver and grey that is making it hard for me to picture.

I think the blush and pinks would be really pretty with the blue suits and your dress. The blues would be pretty but it might be too much blue.

Hi Elizabeth,

I'm using jjshouse, many of their dresses come in 40 colors, my bridesmaids are wearing lilac, and I'm wearing the same dress in lavender, after I change out of my wedding dress, I've purchased other evening dresses from them and always been very happy. I have a blush dress, and I’m having the guys wear navy. I’m having the BM dresses and accessories be dusty rose.
I think the roses and blushes would compliment your gold dress.

Daughter's Rebecca Ingram dress (Allison) was ivory tulle/lace over a pale gold lining.... It was truly stunning, she literally had a soft ethereal glow all day! SIL and the GM wore dark gray suits and the BMs dresses wore dark hunter green, the accent colors were pale pink and champagne. Her wedding was in January (in So Cal) so she was looking for more of a winter vibe, and both the pale gold and dark green are very complementary to her coloring (she's every bit a "ginger"). Congrats on your dress!

I have a champagne gold wedding dress. I’m having my bridesmaids wear different navy colored dresses. I think since the men are wearing navy, you should either have your bridesmaids do different shades of silver and grey or the blush and pink. Hope this helps!
