Brides who use sola wood flowers

Just got mine last week! I haven't arranged them yet, but here's what I've learned:

- When you dye them, play with the water/paint ratio. If you want them darker, less water and more paint. If you want them lighter, more water less paint.

- Carnations and similar flowers were the easiest to dye. Roses are a bit difficult because they start to uncurl if in the water too long. I also had some twists, and they looked super fake so I pulled at them to separate a bit and they looked much better.

- If you have a cat, let the flowers dry in a safe place or else you'll have a few that get shredded...

- Make sure to use a thicker wire when stemming. I originally used a 26 gauge and the wire tended to bend as opposed to poke the flower. I have some 18 coming this week and plan to finish the rest of mine with that.
