Sola Wood

Nikki, on February 21, 2018 at 10:16 AM Posted in Style and Décor 1 11
Kind of piggy backing off another thread... Tell me everything I need to know about Sola Wood Flowers. Flowers are not high on my priority list, the bouquets would mostly be greenery if we went with a florist. So for people who have gotten their flowers is it cheaper to go fresh or go sola? Also which is better for the environment? And lastly if anyone has put together their own bouquet using sola wood how did it go?

Also if anyone has pictures of their bouquets please drop them!

I ended go with a sola bouquet. The quotes I received for the same amount of stuff for real flowers was about $300-$500 more expensive. I did not make my own bouquet I used a company called Southern Bloom Co. They were very responsive and custom make everything to match your colors.

That looks so pretty! I wanted fake but ended up with real flowers- which pleased my FMIL (although she didn’t tell me till after I decided she is the best).

Thank you Smiley smile I wanted real flowers but I hated the idea of spending so much for them to die. My family was very confused when I was telling them my bouquet was made from wood flowers lol.

I think my big hang up is I haven't found any on etsy that really jump out at me. I don't feel like there's enough green in any of them for me.

I ordered flowers from Sola about a month ago and I'm very satisfied with them. Their quality is amazing and they look fantastic. I wasn't big on flowers either and wanted to save money where I could. I caught a fantastic sale (50% off). It was very expensive to ship my order though, I was shipping to Canada so that was likely a factor.

I'm currently working on my bouquet and they are very easy to work with. It is very time-consuming though. I've spent approximately 8-10 hours so far on my bouquet and I've probably got another 4-6 hours worth of work still to go. I've found the smaller (1.5 inch) flowers are easier to arrange but, this could just be a personal preference. I will probably finish my bouquet this weekend and will be posting pictures here when it is finished if you keep an eye out.

I used Sola flowers through EcoFlower. I paid about 200ish on 6 boutonnieres, 6 corsages, 2 bridesmaid bouquets and my bridal bouquet because they had a buy one, get one free sale. That being said, I've heard mixed reviews on their customer service. My experience was great- they managed to move my shipment date up by a month and a half when we bumped up our wedding, and communicated very well with me but I've also read reviews where people ordered things and it took 6 months to get to them.

I just got Sola Wood Flowers for decor pieces and I love them! My only issue is the Rose Gold ones were missing chunks of paint. It says that can be common though. So I would maybe try to find a color you are comfortable with “spray painting” if you needed to.

This is the bouquet I ordered from eco flowers which is made from sola flowers. It hasn't come in yet and I just noticed the picture they have this one on their site looks different now so I hope it looks like what I'm expecting.
