Brides who postponed- Insurance??

Jy, on April 11, 2020 at 11:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Hello 2020 brides!

Like many of you guys, we had to postpone our may wedding to next year. What did you do with the insurance? We didnt have to lose any money because our vendors were very nice. However, we paid a lot for our insurance. Did anyone have to get a new insurance or were you able to work with the insurance company to move it as well? Thank you!

Ours says we can cancel it if we don’t end up using it as long as we notify them prior to the date by so many days (sorry can’t remember the exact time off the top of my head). Did your original date already pass?

    Hi Jy,

I'm so glad to hear that you were able to move your wedding easily with all of your vendors! That's fantastic!

Have you reviewed your wedding insurance policy? Do you have some sort of documentation? You may have to contact your provider directly to determine your options. From what I understand, the coverage varies from one company to the next. This article -- How Much Does Wedding Insurance Really Cost? -- mentions that policies may differ significantly. I hope you're able to update the wedding date and keep your same policy.

    Good luck! Smiley heart
