Brides that had a courthouse wedding

I think you should do research on Courthouse weddings. I do know that BuzzFeed did an article a few years ago. It is up to you what you want to wear. I've seen just some simple short white dresses or if the courthouse is a nice enough you could wear for wedding dress. You could still have a little small dinner afterwards with close friends and family or just a romantic dinner for you and the husband.

I haven’t had a courthouse wedding, but I worked at a courthouse and can share what I saw there! Some people showed up with just bride and groom in jeans got married and left. Some people came in a big white gown with flowers and bouquets and bridesmaids and guests. And there was stuff in between too of course. No matter what they did, the brides and grooms always looked incredibly happy afterwards. I really think you can make a courthouse wedding whatever you want. One couple I saw had at least 25 guests and they had a bridal party and everything, and they said that afterwards they were going to a really nice brunch. At the court house everyone looked so happy and like they were having fun, which is really all that matters! My bff had a spontaneous courthouse wedding with just her and her husband, and a photographer, and then a fun reception at home with friends and family!

You can do absolutely anything you want after your ceremony at the courthouse! Depending on the time of your ceremony, you can go to brunch, lunch or dinner in a favorite spot to celebrate! You should also take into account the day of the week that your courthouse ceremony will take place. If it’s during the week, people might find it difficult to attend a meal during a workday. You can absolutely celebrate with just the two of you at a close-by restaurant but I would recommend booking somewhere so that you don’t wind up at a loose end.

When it comes to inviting guests, again, that is completely up to you! I would check with the courthouse you want to get married in, in case there is a guest capacity that cannot be exceeded. You may need to provide your own witness though, so keep that in mind!
