Bride's Position at the Altar HELP

I would really like to hear everyone's advice or comments about having the bride standing on the right as opposed to the left. I hate my profile so I would at least want my best side which is my left side facing our guests. Any comment or advice is appreciated.

Courtney nailed it! I normally don't like "it's your wedding do what you want"... but in this case I say go for it!

I didn't even think about this. I mean, I have a big nose from all angles, so that isn't an issue ;P I'm sure you are beautiful regardless of what side you're facing! But if it makes you more comfortable, why not stand on the other side. Sounds like it would fit your Jewish traditions anyway!

If I had a bride who wanted to stand on the right, I would say "sure! It's your day!" but for our venue (a traditional sanctuary), the reasoning isn't just tradition, but logistics. The gentlemen enter through the front door on the right side of the sanctuary, so if they stood on the left side, they would have to cross over the chancel to get to their places. Not a terrible thing, but not the "flow" that it has the way it is.
