We tried some flavors two months ago and we’re thinking just regular chocolate, vanilla and then maybe something fruity like something with raspberry In the middle or something lemon flavored. Then for donuts we’re thinking a regular vanilla frosted, oreo and one that has glaze and chocolate chips or a powdered sugar with vanilla cream in the middle. For other pastries we’re not sure yet but I’m sure we’ll figure it out
Well, this was all rather last minute haha - we got engaged on Christmas Day 2021. We had already been planning a weekend getaway to Vegas and figured why not elope! (Also trying to minimize stress so we can have a baby so no bigger wedding)
So I FINALLY picked my dress this past Sat at David's Bridal so alterations next Tues and hopefully done before we fly out on the 10th haha (long story - I was trying to go all small business so sourced most everything off Etsy and well...dress #1 wasn't what I was expecting and dress #2 isn't going to arrive at all)
Tomorrow I'm ordering a wood barrel for our whisky unity ceremony and of course the alcohols to all get delivered to the hotel. Other than that, just waiting for flowers (also the Sola wood ones - LOVE THEM!) to get delivered also to the hotel...lots of waiting! Haha Thanks for the well wishes!!
32 days!!! We have been engaged since 2019 and we planned on getting married in 2020 but of course COVID so the wedding I have been planning for 3 YEARS is FINALLY happening and I couldn't be more excited!!!

The small details can often be the most fun to work on! Exciting that your first fitting is coming up. There is light at the end of the tunnel! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!

Oh wow, sounds like you've got quite a bit done already! Nice work! Totally agree that getting an earlier start on planning gives you plenty of time to do the research and find better pricing. Happy wedding planning!
Sooo much left, but really is all the small things. It is a destination wedding, so it's become a bit hard to plan everything while not being there,. Thankfully I have 2 helpful sisters following my orders

Thank you for the advice on flowers!! It's definitely been a stress of mine, but I feel a little more confident now after reading your recommendations! Awesome work on your favors, being able to DIY them is a fun idea! I especially love the bride and groom decor that you made.

Oh wow - that is a quick engagement, and what an awesome plan!! Great way to work your wedding into your plans for your Vegas trip. I love that you're doing a whiskey unity ceremony! A couple friends got my fiance and I a mini whiskey barrel as a gift, so we're also planning on doing the whiskey unity ceremony, which will incorporate the barrel that our friends got for us. The Sola wood flowers are super pretty! Do you have a photo of what the bouquet will look like? I hope you share photos after your elopement, I'd love to hear how everything turns out!

That's so exciting that your wedding is coming up so quick!! I'm also an original 2020 bride (engaged in 2019) who postponed to 2022 due to COVID, and can't believe that I've been planning this for three years now! Did most of your wedding plans carry over from 2020? What do you have left on your wedding to-do list?
45 more days to go. Pretty much have everything done. Looking for resteraunts for rehearsal dinner and that is about it. One last meeting with the venue next Monday.

I know it’s crazy!! I totally had to start over I had to get new venues and everything! We booked early 2021 and a bunch of places were still closed or not booking anything but I honestly love how everything worked out! Everything is all lined up and confirmed it’s just finishing paying and final touches! How about you did you have to change much??

At least it's only down to the small details now! For me, focusing on just one task at a time helps me get through everything with as little stress as possible. A destination wedding sounds fun! What destination did you choose?
