What do you guys think? If a bride is in a strapless dress, should the bridesmaids be in a strapless dress orrr if the bride is in a strapless dress, should the bridesmaids be in a dress with straps? Ive looked on pinterest but id love other peoples opinion!

I'm wearing a strapless wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses has an illusion neckline, so it's all really about your preference!

I never thought of this. My BM and I are going to match and wear strapless. They have sweetheart necklines and I might just have square. Just go with your gut!

I had my girls get a convertible dress, so its the same exact color, but so many different ways that work for each body type and make the girls comfortable.

I don't think it matters. I'm letting each BM pick the style they want, so there's bound to be differences in necklines.

It so happens that my dress has a similar neckline to my bridesmaids dresses. I wanted something chic and timeless. Like Orchids, I hate strapless dresses too (I had to wear strapless for both of my cousins' weddings) so I wouldn't subject my bridesmaids to that.

I attached a photo of me in my dress and my FSIL (I ordered it in a wine/burgundy color though)

ETA: I hit the post button multiple times so excuse me for the multiple hidden posts...lol

No, you don't have to match. My dress is strapless and three of my girls are also wearing strapless and one is wearing a dress with straps. I let them pick the style they liked best and they all picked different ones (and I picked the colors).

    Hi,

This one is a personal choice of the people. Most of the Female wear Ethnic dresses in marriage functions like Anarkali suits, Designer sarees, Ethnic Gowns etc.

My dress is a sweetheart with straps, and all of my girls' necklines will vary. Personally, I don't think it matters!

I don't think it makes any difference. Everyone just needs to get a dress that is comfortable for them.

I like non matching personally. More visual interest so I actually notice the dresses on bride and bridesmaid! With matching styles my eye doesn't know where to focus... But that could just be me Smiley smile you can't really go wrong with pretty dresses!

You can do either way but personally I think it looks really nice for them to match so if yours is strapless they'd be strapless but that's my opinion.

I dont think it make a difference, i picked out 3 dresses and my bridesmaids picked out the one they all wanted to wear. I have a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, and they picked a halter style dress with a illusion neck over a sweetheart. So we still match but are slightly different

I don't think you need to really match as far as strapless or with straps. I think what is more important is making sure the materials do not clash. Like don't get chiffon for bridesmaids if your dress is satin or vice versa. It looks bad
