Bride and Groom Reception Exit

Sarinis, on March 28, 2017 at 11:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 21

How do you plan on exiting the reception? Is there any kind of special send off you are doing? Sparklers, bubbles, rose petals?

Hard pass on that. I imagine we'll be the last people to leave our reception.

Our ceremony and reception is at the Inn & Spa we'll be staying at that night...so we'll just be walking down the hall to our room haha! No send off for us. Smiley smile

I've done sparklers as a guest a couple of times. Not doing one for mine. I plan on being on the dance floor until the very last minute we have the venue.

We will be on the last shuttle to leave the reception so we are not doing it. I find them unnecessary.

We aren't doing one either. We have to clean up after.

We didn't do one. Our venue was the hotel we were staying at that night, so it didn't make sense. Plus, we were the last ones to leave - no one was making me leave the party a minute before! Smiley winking

I plan on leaving drunk, on the elevator, headed to either my room or to the strip depending on drunkness level. A send off would be weird and pointless since I'm sleeping at my venue.

I've only been to one wedding with a send off and they did sparklers. But their reception ended at 9:00 so most people stayed the whole time. Get any later than that and people leave early and you dont have many left to do a send off. I'd say its personal preference if you want to do it but make it known your going to do one so people stick around for it

We're not having a "send off" per-say, but we are hosting a bonfire on the grounds at the resort we're getting married at, down by the beach after the reception ends. Essentially for the guests who wish to keep the party going and those who are spending the night. We may have s'mores and get crazy, who knows.

We'll likely be the last ones out and we'll be placing the very few decorations in the back of my vehicle before heading back to our cottage that we will have rented for the weekend. So, no reception exit for us.

We just have a car picking us up and taking us to a hotel in downtown Portland. I'm sure we'll be one of the last couples to leave. So no snazzy exit.

I thought about doing a send off, but ultimately decided against it and I am so glad I did! I had a chance to say goodbye to everyone as the left and thank them for coming as well as dance the night away! We were literally the last ones off the dance floor and to leave and it was so perfect for us. It also meant that our guests could leave whenever and not worry about missing a send off.

We didn't do a send off. I would have hated leaving my own party before anyone else!

That being said, I did attend a wedding that did a send off with guests using ribbon wands. The pics looked really great! It was just the hallway of a hotel, but made people get close together

We don't plan on leaving immediately after so I'm not sure if it's technically a send off but we're releasing paper lanterns.
