Bridal shower

I'm getting married October 13 & my sister is hosting my bridal shower. She lives 4 hours away & is a teacher, so she's wanting to do it before school starts back in August. Would that be ok or does that seem to early?

Mine will most likely be in August also because of logistics with the one sister traveling here.

My sister is now getting married in June so I am hosting her shower in April when my aunt was already planning a trip here since she now has to travel for 2 weddings

Do it whenever you can! My shower was in April because that's when it made sense with my schedule and my MOH's schedule. I'm not getting married til November!

We are date twins! 😁 My sister threw my bridal shower just last weekend and we had so much fun. No one seemed to mind it or ask why it wasn't closer to the wedding. I think at the end of the day you can choose to do whatever you would like to do. Honestly, in my opinion trying to follow too many rules or "etiquette" leads to unnecessary stress. Which brings me to another plus with having it a little earlier. It gives you one less thing to stress over that close to the wedding.

That actually seems average time frame to me. It's good if it works for everyone too.

We are getting married the end of October, FMIL and FSIL/ MOH are hosting the bridal shower. It will be the end of July mainly because of everyone's schedules. They are in Florida and we are in South Carolina and that was just a good time were we could make the trip down there. I say just do what works best for yall

I don't see anything wrong with that! My bridesmaids and mom didn't want to do august because it's hot here so they're doing late September indoors but whatever works for you guys! august is perfect.

I'm getting married October 19 and my aunts hosted my bridal shower on May 5. Most of my extended family travels throughout the summer and it's really difficult to coordinate schedules. I loved having my bridal shower so far in advance. It kind of served as a kick-off event to all of the wedding festivities over the next few months!

2-5 months is pretty standard. Gives you a little time to breathe and get things in place. Cut loose and have a little fun. I think you are lucky

That’s totally fine. My wedding is the day before yours and my showers are on Aug 10 and Aug 24.
