Bridal shower

Amanda, on June 27, 2019 at 3:59 PM Posted in Planning 0 31
I'm getting married October 13 & my sister is hosting my bridal shower. She lives 4 hours away & is a teacher, so she's wanting to do it before school starts back in August. Would that be ok or does that seem to early?

I think a bridal shower 3 months out is pretty standard.

Could she do the beginning of August? Two months out seems pretty standard to me.

I don't think that's too early. I don't think there's any hard and fast rule about how many weeks before the shower should be or anything. If that's what works best for your host, I would definitely try to accommodate her!

I think that's what she's shooting for. She goes back to work the first week of August, but it's just meetings & getting her classroom together.

Thank you! I just didn't know if there was such a thing as too early or not for showers.

My BFF is getting married Oct. 18th and we're throwing her shower on Aug. 17th. I agree with everyone else, anything within 3 months is pretty standard.

I did mine around three months out because it worked best for our schedules so that's ok! Whatever works for your schedules.

We considered an October date and would have done a July Bridal Shower and Bachlorette

My wedding is Sept 28th. My mom also works for a school, she goes back end of August so we are having my bridal shower July 21st and my bachelorette August 23-25. She is doing all the DIY and prep as we speak because of all her free time.

I'm getting married October 17th and my sister is throwing my shower in August as well. She's planning on doing the bachelor in September. That way I still have some time to finish up last minute things in October

I have been struggling trying to figure out exactly when to have my bridal shower, but I have been told anywhere from 2-4 months out is standard. I think that's perfect! Hope you have the best time!

We're getting married in August, and our bridal party threw the shower in the beginning of June.

This, a) allowed FILs to be there (they are currently out of the country), and b) puts less pressure on the bridal party for the month of the wedding.

Seems pretty normal to me. Mine is going to be in September and I am getting married on October 13th. I have seen people do showers a few months out. My FMIL wanted to throw me one this month but i declined as my mother is throwing me one and seems selfish to do two.
