My MOH wants to get a head start on planning my bridal shower. She's sent me examples of what I want on my invites for the shower and asked me if I'm going to do a bridal shower registry. Is a bridal shower registry typical? Me and FH and on the fence about doing a wedding registry in general - we don't like asking for things. However, we've also heard that this is our last shot at getting some gifts for ourselves :p

What do other brides do? Do you do a bridal shower registry and a separate a wedding registry, combine all in one registry or none of them? If you do a bridal registry, what do you register for?

I've never heard of a bridal shower registry vs. a wedding registry but FH & I feel the same way about gifts. I've been on my own since 18 and have had to earn everything I own without anyone's "help".

Just know that your MOH and the bridal shower guests want to be there and bring gifts. This is your big day, cherish the opportunity to celebrate with friends and family.

My FH does all the cooking in this relationship & I keep joking I'm going to open things at the shower and be like "... Oh! Thanks for this.... Thing!" And not know what it does. He's a kitchen snob and a kitchen nerd!

Yeah - I've been on my own a long time. We decided to just have fun with it. I registred for upgrades on most stuff (towels, sheets, etc) and some new fun things I wouldn't buy for myself. We did Amazon, BBB & Crate & Barrel. The way I see it is, I have everything I need...anything bought is a blessing. But we don't expect anything. I just know I already have 2 showers planned and possibly a 3rd one, so they kept asking where I registered. Have fun with it.

Date twin!!! My FH and I have been living together for 5 months now and my mom and sisters are throwing us a shower. You register for the shower and wedding and in our case it is to upgrade or if things are getting old and we need a new one. Things like that. We are also taking into effect that we are going to want to buy a house and the kitchen will be red so everything kitchen is red unlike now

@Megan DATE TWIN! And kitchen twin! When we bought our small kitchen appliances, rugs, spatulas etc. we bought them all in red! Smiley smile Lets stay in touch!

I think it will be best if I upgrade things like sheets, towels and rugs. I can never have enough of those. I'll have fun with it. If I put less on there, I'm sure guests will get the hint. Smiley smile
