Bridal Shower Invite Wording

I tried requesting this too but I was overruled by my mom and FMIL *sigh*

I think the poem is a cute idea.

I just googled it for fun and I thought this one was good too (or something like it)

It's time for (bride's name) Bridal Shower

And for us girls to have some fun,

So we're trying something different

And we hope that you can come...

Please wrap your gift in cellophane

or leave it unwrapped, you see,

We'll have more time to socialize

And visit with the bride-to-be...

I like the poem... my cousin actually just did this... my aunt just put a simple line on the invites that said "In keeping with a green theme, gift wrap is optional" most people still wrapped but there were a few that didn't. I think you will get more people to comply with the poem lol.

Though it is said that the whole fun in bridal shower comes when bride unwrap her gifts. Well it is a good idea of expecting the gifts unwrapped as the wrappers fill the whole trash can. Yes, I Agree with csquid these wordings can work well.

Well I have got some of the cards with the following wordings-

In order to save time and paper, please leave your gift unwrapped. Just place a bow and a card on it.

"Be a dear- wrap it clear!"
