Bridal Shower Ideas?

Niray, on May 7, 2019 at 9:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
I’m in the process of helping plan my bridal shower and we’re not trying to go over the top just something simple. I would love to see photos of your bridal showers just to get some ideas of what can be done without going over budget.

I've been to bridal showers at VFWs that came out very nice. Mine is supposed to be a surprise, but I have learned that it is in a development's clubhouse. If someone lives in like a townhouse development or something like that and they have a clubhouse, it is often very inexpensive to rent out the place. It doesn't even have to be someone directly involved (although definitely a guest invited to the shower/wedding). FMIL's friend is an invited guest and she lives in that community, so she reserved it for the BMs. Other people have done rooms in restaurants. That may be a bit pricier. You just really need a space large enough to accommodate everyone and some good food. People usually don't to overboard for bridal showers.

My fiancé is actually letting us use his office so we already have a location. I’m more so trying to get an idea of what can be done for decorations. I don’t want to go overboard but I don’t want to do absolutely nothing at all. Trying to find a happy medium.

The decor at my shower was super simple: hydrangeas from the garden, and pictures of my fiancé and me! My girls used twine and clothespins from the garage, and just hung the string on the wall and clipped the photos to it!

You could bring the outside in and do like a bohemian garden, you could do a vintage tea party with little cucumber sandwiches, tea cakes, coffee cake, mini cupcakes. You could also do a rustic theme....

My bridal party threw me a tea party. Super simple and I loved it! Finger foods, tea, cupcakes and mimosas.

My Mother in Love is throwing our Wedding Shower. However I have been to a lot. Decor can be simple plants for center pieces, Balloons fill a lot of space, Keep it simple is always a good motto. As for food Ladies afternoon tea, Soup and Sandwich Lunch. Depending on how many people you can throw a shower for a little bit of money. You can also ask close family and friends to bring a dish or desert. Remember a shower is a place where people who love you get to Celebrate you and your FH.

I think we are going to do a more rustic theme. Although it may turn out a bit industrial because of the location.

We’re just doing mason jars with plants around the space. It’s taking place at an art gallery so we didn’t want to go crazy with the decorations.
