I have my FSIL's bridal shower next week, she and I aren't all that close and I'm assuming I was only invited because I'm engaged to her brother. I'm not sure what to get her. I know a lot of bridal showers have more fun gifts like lingerie and what not but I don't want to look like an idiot by doing that if no one else does, but I also don't want to feel silly buying her the coffee maker she wants from her registry and then everyone else shows up with things shaped like the male genitalia, lol.

The family is fairly conservative, I won't know any of her friends there so I can't ask what others are doing... Should I keep it simple and try to hit two birds with one stone and get a wedding registry gift and then like a Victoria's Secret gift card as well?

Registry; no sexy stuff at the shower.

Buy her something from her registry. She picked it all out so you know she wants it.

I would get her something off her registry and then after that shower if you wanna give her the lingerie I think that would work too- and if need be explain to her why you didn't give her that gift during the shower.
