Bridal shower gift ideas

Venessa, on March 14, 2018 at 3:34 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
So my friend is having her bridal shower this weekend and she has everything! So I’m not sure what to get her. Do any brides have any ideas?

By "she has everything" I'm assuming you mean everything is bought off of her registry already? If so, I would just get her something fun. Does she like to bake? Maybe put together a baking basket. Center it around something she likes to do at home.

If she has nothing left on her registry for you to get her, a date night idea (movie tickets, restaurant gift card, couples spa) might be nice. Maybe something they both can use for their honeymoon? Or something unique for their home?

It's rather difficult to say, as we don't know much about your friend's personality but I think good go-to's are spa days, jewelry, or couple's massages.

If you want something wedding related, you could buy her a personalized wedding dress hanger, a cake serving set, a bridal makeup bag, etc. So many options!

I'm assuming she's not registered Typically if someone is having a shower they would have a bridal registry somewhere. But if not, or you want to go off registry, I have gotten some of my friends a hanger for their wedding dress that says Mrs. Future Last name. Etsy has a bunch and they are really cute https://www.etsy.com/market/bridal_hanger. Then they use the hanger on the day of and for a few pictures.

They are usually relatively inexpensive, so when I've gotten them I've put together a little wedding day package with a bottle of champagne, a "day of" essentials kit, etc.

What are some of her hobbies and interests? It might be fun to get her something along those lines.

Or like other have said, getting something wedding related is always a nice gesture. Has she picked up her cake topper? You could buy it for her. Or pay for a spa/manicure day before the wedding.

I would try searching different combinations of her name plus her future spouse's name with the word registry to see if they are registered somewhere (or contact the organizer and ask them). If everything on the registry has already been purchased I'd suggest a gift card to the store or a gift card for their favorite restaurant. If you want to get something they can unwrap at the shower get a nice frame (for a wedding photo) to go with the gift card.

I got one of my friends an excursion for their honeymoon. They registered, but by the time I got around to it, everything was basically bought. I always enjoyed gifting "experiences" rather than "things."

Thank you guys for the ideas. She does not have a registry and she said everything for their wedding is pretty much bought already. Being it was last minute I didn’t know if gift cards were boring. She every simple but she does not bake or cook . But I like your gus ideas thank you!

That's odd that she's having a bridal shower but doesn't have a registry. Maybe you can just put a little basket together of her favorite things (candy, snack, drink, cup, etc) so it's personal or a spa day to pamper herself if she likes that (mani, pedi, massage, facial, etc).

My shower is next week and I chose to have a lingerie-party, where the only gifts I receive are lingerie.

If you don't feel comfortable giving lingerie as a gift, perhaps a massage/spa gift card? Something the couple can enjoy together at any time.
