Bridal shower body measurements

In case you want to purchase lingerie.

Is it a lingerie shower? If so, it is probably so you know appropriate sizing for buying lingerie.

Is it specifically a lingerie shower? If so, I guess I could kind of assume that its so you can buy the bride something that fits?

It seems a little peculiar though.

It didn't say it was lingerie- hm- maybe... is this common practice?

If the MOH is throwing it clarify if it is a personal item shower like bra's, panties, nightgowns etc

Probably for lingerie tho providing the sizes may have been easier. I guess sizes vary by brand tho. Nonetheless it's definitely interesting.

In Ohio it seems MOH throws that type of shower for good friends of the bride that are coming to the wedding. They are a lot of fun to attend because the bride usually blushes a lot over some of the gifts given.

My bra/underwear sizes are on my bridal shower invites. It's so people can get lingerie, which is way more fun than registry gifts IMO

I would be SO embarrassed if anyone got me lingerie and I had to open it in front of everyone.

I feel like if it was a lingerie shower it would be made obvious by the invitation beyond the inclusion of measurements. Honestly, I would be embarrassed to open lingerie at a regular bridal shower, in front of my grandma and some of my aunts. If I knew it was a lingerie shower I would at least be able to prepare myself ahead of time and I would feel more comfortable if the guest list was just close friends and no family.

Like PPs said sounds like a lingerie shower but idk why they did not include information about that or more hints about it on the invite! My bridesmaids are throwing me one of these but it will be part of my bachelorette party.

My sister threw me a lingerie shower for my bachelorette, so put my bra and panty size on the invite - but the invitations were corsets so it was very obvious what the shower was and also only my CLOSEST friends were invited!

Do people have showers at their bachelorette parties? I'm so confused. I know that the bride gets gifts sometimes at the bachelorette party but I don't consider that a shower. It's just part of the bachelorette. Are they two separate events on the same day for some of you?
