Cocomelody’s brick and mortar store is in downtown LA and Vivienne Atelier is right downstairs. I just went to Cocomelody on Sunday and the dresses were good quality. My appointment felt a little rushed, but it was a weekend and they were busy. I didn’t have an appointment at Vivienne, but I walked in and looked and they had some pretty dresses. They had a higher price point than Cocomelody based off a conversation I overheard with a bride who had an appointment.

Have you looked at Casablanca dresses? They have a few different collections that come in most sizes. What appeals to me are 2 key factors: They have a Beloved line that I think has gorgeous dresses at a much more affordable price. And the other thing is that this designer is flexible with customizing your dress. I don't want to show my jiggly upper arms, and for the Church I really can't have bare shoulders anyway. Most dresses, especially mermaids, don't have sleeves but they have no problem adding them or changing colors or the neckline. So if I start at a lower price point I won't stress about spending more on customization. Not sure how much those things are yet as I haven't gone to my appointment. I mostly liked a dress at David's but after speaking with their alterations department, I was not confident they could add sleeves that wouldn't end up looking like they were added. If you like their style, they have a flagship store in Newport Beach, but lots of stores do carry their dresses. Their website doesn't show that this location carries Beloved, but I called and they do!
