Hey y'all! Anyone have thoughts on bridal robes for the wedding party getting ready?? Is it played out?? I LOVE the way they look... but I feel like everyone does it! Hey y'all!

Anyone have thoughts on bridal robes for the wedding party getting ready?? Is it played out?? I LOVE the way they look... but I feel like everyone does it! Anyone have any unique alternatives that still look fun and classy? I'm doing a beach wedding, so I considered doing swim cover ups, but I can't find any that are just right.

THOUGHTS!?!?

I am going to get a pair button up pajamas for my girls, they are comfy and as a bonus they wont have to try and get a shirt off and worry about their haid getting messed up! (that is always my main fear when I am getting ready for a fancy even after I do my hair!)

I did them even though they're played out, I just loved them so much since my first day on pinterest! If you like it, you should do it! I also love flannels for the fall and PJ rompers for summer. So many cute things!

Something like this would be cute for a beach wedding!

I have also seen monogrammed oversized shirts.

I Reeeeeaaally want to get a robe for myself, but I decided to forgo robes for my bridesmaids and let them wear what they want (partly because I've already spent about a million on each of them already) if I find some cute plaid button ups for really cheap I might spring for those though

There is no such thing as "played out," when it comes to getting ready, but please don't personalize them. My wedding party was just my MOH and me, so it wasn't such a big deal. I only have one photo of us wearing the robes, and it includes my make-up artist, who is also a friend. I still wear mine some mornings, just out of practicality.

Victoria's Secret has silk pajama sets (button down and pants) I was considering those or just regular fuzzy robes. I'm having a winter wedding so that different.

For you swim cover ups are cute. I also have a super comfy jersey romper, I'd recommend those too!

I totally want to do PJs/sweatpants and zip-up hoodies. I'm all about comfort and things they could wear again.

I don't know if they're overdone, but I know I hate wearing them.

I was the social director of my sorority, so I've probably been a BM more than most. And I dread the robes so much. I'm busty, so they don't close right, and they're so short that I just feel like I'm flashing my ass all over the getting ready photos. No one ever asks me if I mind getting photographed in a robe with a gaping top and tons of leg while trying to do all the necessary stuff to get ready for a formal event. Ugh.

I go back and forth with this as well. I want to give them something for getting ready though. I thougbt about oversized button up shirts or even zip up hoodies. The robes I keep coming across are cheap but really thin and see through. I have thought about getting nice cotton robes though. I think if you do robes, nice and soft ones are the way to go.
