Bridal portraits and tan lines!? Help!

Lisa, on July 5, 2016 at 8:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I am taking my bridal portraits end of this month. Of course with summer here and then holiday weekend, I spent all day outside in my bikini and realize I have tan lines esp on my back. Of course my dress is open back and will show my entire back. Has anyone had this trouble and what to do? Tan more, spray tan etc??

OMG same issue here!! I have a severe LARGE brown tan line on my back. I went on vacation with FH in April and this stupid tan line is very noticeable on my back. My wedding dress is a drop waist ballgown with a lowish back and it sticks out like a sore thumb. I have asked people for advice and all I have been told is to exfoliate and go tanning .... a lot of tanning before the wedding. I'd be scared of getting a spray tan because I wouldn't want it to bleed on my dress. ughh following for sure

I used Jergens Natural Glow on the white parts of my skin. It helped reduce the tan lines

Someone could correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most pro photographers would be able to edit them out.

Yeah I'm sure they can edit it out...but they may charge you extra for it. And I'm sure you don't want everyone seeing obvious tan lines on your wedding day. I would go tanning to even it out. If that doesn't work or you don't want to be really tan, I would talk to your MUA if she knows of any good covering up/airbrush tricks.

St. Tropez makes a good self tanner. Maybe you could try and apply it to the non tan area and see if it evens things out?

Loving Tan Official is amazing. You could also use a darker foundation with a setting powder if you're just standing for photos. Just be careful not to get it on your dress (duh lol). But you could probably get rid of them naturally by your wedding date.

I did last summer I'd try to lay out some to fix it but I did Spray tan in college for formal and it helped with tan lines, just make sure it's not in a booth that it's done with the spray gun.
