Bridal Portraits after Wedding?

SOOO I didn't realize this was a thing... and I have already been married for a month now, but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to do another photo shoot in my wedding dress before I get it preserved? I did fake flowers so I still have my bouquet and I did my makeup myself, the only thing would be the hair. I don't want to pay to have my hair done again so it would have to be a different style than on the day of my wedding. Would that be weird? My mom is a armature photographer so she would do it for me for free for her portfolio but was wondering if it is worth it(just to have for me) or would it be weird cause you would be able to tell they weren't taken on the same day?

I didn’t know it was a thing either until recently haha but I don’t think it’d be weird at all. You have your dress, bouquet, can do your own hair and makeup and a free photographer so you might as well go ahead and do it! Plus no one else will know when you actually took them lol

Do you see it as something that’s truly necessary? Especially if you only got married a month ago and you already have plenty of photos in your dress. Also, there’s no need to do it simply because it’s “a thing”. Maybe take professional photos at your 1 year anniversary instead

From what I can see, a lot of people on here get their bridals done before the wedding day. So I dont think it would be odd.

I've seen bridal portraits and day of pics that are totally different styles. I say go for it. My photographer even offered to let me schedule my portraits after my wedding since I'm super busy beforehand with all the planning.

If you want! To me, bridal portraits aren't super important. I'll have pictures of me from the wedding and that's enough.
