I think you'll be good waiting until next August or September at the earliest!

It doesn’t really matter. But usually you would wait until you have your dress and alterations done and it’s better to do those closer to the wedding in case anything changes.

As the PPs mentioned, I think once your wedding look is complete and won’t be changing in any way, you could do your bridals. Closer to the wedding would be best in case anything does change

August or September time sounds like a good time!

I already have everything minus a few small details for my centerpieces. Otherwise my dress is hanging in my room and everything else is in storage totes just waiting to be used.

If you already have dress and style of hair you are leaning towards then you can do pictures as early as you want. If you want fall weather since your wedding is during fall then maybe you can do them sometime this year. Just make sure you stay on the same weight so your pictures don’t look too different.

It's something some people do prior to the wedding additional from day of pics It's not common in my area or circle either.. don't feel bad that you didn't know

I didn't have any plans to take them but my photographer said they were included in my package, so I said what the heck (: they are just photos of you in your dress before your FH sees you. Just a little something special that you can do before hand.
