Bridal party

I don’t think it’s a problem and seems to be fairly common to have uneven bridal parties. To me, it’s more about quality of the relationships than the number of people. If my FH’s best friend can’t make it from South Korea where he’s living we’ll probably have an uneven bridal party too.

When you look back on your photos, you are going to want to see people that you do not have negative feelings towards and typically we are more forgiving of the behavior of family and decades old friends. I wouldn't back fill the slot unless there is someone super deserving of it.

Yes I always tell people don't add more just cause you have uneven amounts. You don't want it to seem like that person is a filler.

It's 100% ok to have more groomsmen than bridesmaids.

It's more important to have people you're close to standing by you. If this results in uneven numbers, so be it

We have 1 more GM than BM! I was in a wedding last year with 2 more BM than GM! I never notice and think it's totally fine.

Uneven is fine. But, if it bothers you, just add another bridesmaid! That really is terrible she dropped out, people should not commit unless they are certain they can follow through. So sorry!
