Bridal Party Size

I haven't picked my bridal party yet, but I have 6 close friends (5 of which I was a bridesmaid in their wedding) and a future SIL, so I'm looking at possibly 7 bridesmaids. Is that too many for a small-ish wedding (100-120 people)? I'm not sure what the norm is. Any advice is helpful, thanks!

It should be who you want. I have 7, including a MOH and a Matron of Honor, FH has 5. These are the ppl we want standing with us.

Don't worry about the number, make sure that the people you have stand up with you are the people you WANT there. Don't ask extras out of obligations, and don't exclude people because you're nervous it'll seem like too many. This is one of those situations where I say do what makes you happy!

You can have as few or as many as you want. It doesn't matter the size of your bridal party versus the number of guests. Also just because you were in their wedding doesn't mean you have to have them in yours. As for have your sil in the wedding. I am having mine just because it nice to include the grooms family as well.

One thing I considered doing when FH and I were going to have a bigger wedding was not having any wedding party but having the about 8-9 women I may have otherwise chosen to be bridesmaids dress in a similar color and carry a single flower which they would hand to me to make my bouquet. In the end we decided to go smaller and do a small wedding party to correspond but I still kind of love that idea.
