Bridal party and bachelorette party on the same day?

TANYA , on March 27, 2018 at 8:07 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
I am talking to my MOH and she is asking me what date works best for me for bridal party and the bachelorette party.

Is it bad etiquette to do both on the same day (bridal party as a brunch) and the bachelorette party later that night...

Most people will he invited to both, but not everyone (like my mom for example and a few others that I'm sure won't be interested in the bachelorette party) is that considered rude?

Has anyone does this??

It’s pretty common! Not rude at all.

I don't think it is rude, but I would be worried about being too tired to party all night after a bridal shower!

Definitely not rude- just make sure to be present at each event. I would just be careful about who is invited to the bachelorette part so they don’t feel left out.

I think if you’re open to doing both on the same day, why not?? It’s a fun way to continue the festivities.

I actually just had my shower and bachelorette party this past Saturday. Most of my bridesmaids live out of town so it worked out best to do it that way. It worked out really well. They put a note in the bridal shower invites to those I invited to my bachelorette party letting them know it was the same day and that they'd be getting an invite for a Facebook event. We had a brunch for the shower which was really fun and then did a wine and canvas after. My mom and a few other family friends came to that and after my friends and I went to dinner and the bachelorette stuff that night. Those who were invited to just the shower and not the bachelorette party didn't even know!

If you won’t be too tired it isn’t rude. I was exhausted after mine then put all our gifts away that night. It took us over 3 hours and we did have plans to go out that night but had to cancel.

I’m having mine on the same days cause it’s the only day where all my girls could be there!
