Bridal Hair & makeup Cost!!

In indiana. My costs are as follows

Hair $65

Hair trial $65

Bridesmaids hair $50 each

Onsite Makeup $50

Onsite Makeup trial $50

Cost will be greatly dependent on your location. That being said, my hair and Makeup is $200 + $40 for travel expenses. My trial was $50, but because I chose to book with the MUA, the $50 is treated as a deposit & applied to the total.

If that's a touristy part of MT, it's not surprising, especially with likely lack of competition. $300-500 for hair and makeup the day of is the norm in my area, trials extra and often the same price as the wedding.

I'm in NJ. The ladies I chose charged me the following -

Hair: $100

Makeup: $75

Bridesmaids hair: $65

Bridesmaids makeup: $65

I live in MT and that pricing does sound pretty ridiculous. But it is Whitefish so I guess it makes sense that prices are higher... Basically rich Californians are taking over the town and ruining it :/

I had a dw. So... no trial for makeup. My hairstylist flew down to do our hair as a gift for us! She charged $55 for hair for myself, and the bridesmaid. For our flowergirl she charged $25. My makeup artist, which was recommended by our wedding planner, was $55. Your prices seem high but it truly does depend on your area!!!

Eh-hair is at least 100$ and makeup is at least 50$, bare minimum. It really depends on their travel costs and expertise.

For hair and makeup trial and day of using airbrush, mind is $325. That price also includes them coming to my house with their style bus so it's a bit more expensive than if I went to them

In MA, mine was $200 for the trial and $230 the day of the wedding=$430 + tip

@Jenny- I mean... I think I look pretty damn awesome. Yeah. She nailed it. & this was my second trial. My first was awful

My makeup is $65 and my hair is free because of how many girls I have getting their hair done. $25 for my hair trial.

@GymRat, The one I am leaning towards going with has 15 yrs experience and has owned 2 salons. The other ones have excellent reviews so I am going with great artists so I understand I am paying for that as well which I am okay with knowing this is typical pricing for H&MUA services.

I found this is right in the middle of where I wanted to be I guess. She is a little pricey for NJ. But CHEAP for NYC

Mine is $200 for hair an makeup in Miami. Other people are $100 each.

If you're looking to cut down on the cost for your hair and makeup, contact a local Beauty Academy. We have several that are close by to do hair and makeup at a very discounted rate to allow the beauticians to get their hours in. Just a suggestion. Otherwise... it's pricey

I thought mine was expensive in Pittsburgh, but this high cost seems pretty normal!

Sounds about right then. Go for it! My H/MUA artist was a perfectionist - there are some things I was willing to save money on. H/MU wasn't one of them.

That does sound a little high for Montana, but I wonder how the quote breaks down? Is that $450 just for the hair and makeup services or does it also include taxes and travel fees?

My hair and makeup team is based in Richmond and here were the individual prices:

Traditional Makeup Bridesmaid - $80

Airbrush Makeup Bridesmaid - $90

Airbrush Makeup Bride - $125

Fake Eyelashes - additional $25 each

Bridesmaids Hair - $90

Bride Hair - $125

ETA: Also, if they're worth it they're worth it I definitely would have paid more than this if my first choice hadn't been fully booked for the next year and a half!
