I believe it's like a DOC for your reception, just a different name. Smiley smile

Or its special service, they'll go get your food form the buffet or drinks from the bar etc. a personal attendant, at some places.

I would guess it is something like a banquet captain (read description here: http://www.snagajob.com/job-descriptions/banquet-captain/) or maitre d'. So, like a DOC that focuses on the catering/decor.

It's a fancy title for a person who performs a pretty standard venue service. He's basically your food/drink go to guy, but amenities vary from place to place. Some offer the basics and some offer more personal service. Call your venue for a bullet point explanation of his duties.

Hahahahahaaa...I'm having a really excellent mental image of something like Captain Obvious except for Bridal Captain. Someone who walks around and tells everyone just how lovely everything is, asks the guests to keep their kids quiet, and to definitely sign the guest book.

    This should be a thing.

I"d call them and find out what this means. In most of the fancier venues i'm at, there is a specific person assigned to the bride for everything from finding missing stuff to getting everyone where they are supposed to be at specific times and keeping track of food and drink for the bridal party.

We had a Banquet Captain, who, in addition to our DOC was in charge of making sure the reception ran smooth, ensuring dinner was done in a timely manner, made sure the staff was refilling wine glasses, got the cake served to everyone and champagne out on time blah blah blah.

I'm confused because our package has "bridal captain service" and a "bridal attendant" ... They said the attendants job is to "wait on the bride hand and foot" so I'm not sure what this bridal capitan is doing. Haha do we need to hire a DOC also?
