Bridal Buddy - Anyone use it? Is it worth buying?

Jessica, on December 1, 2016 at 9:31 AM Posted in Planning 0 8

Has anyone bought the Bridal Buddy? I have a big ball gown dress with lots of layers of toulle and I cant even imagine how I will go to the bathroom without help! I saw the bridal buddy and it looks pretty neat. Just wondering if anyone else used it and if its worth purchasing?

I've been thinking of getting one too, but I keep hearing to skip the expense and face the back of the toilet

I am not buying because I have a fit and flare and I think you can see the elastic band through the dress when it is that fitted. May work for a ballgown though.

Brides for ages have figured it out - I saw a video on youtube of a radio personality from australia trying it on and raving, except she was struggling, still needed to gather a ton of fabric up (which you need to do regardless of this garbage bag around your waist all night) PLUS she didn't even notice that the dress spilled out and dragged over the chair she was using as a "prop toilet". Nope - not for me.

I think I was so pre-occupied that I never even peed at our wedding. I wouldn't waste the money.

You may be able to hold it up yourself. I would practice beforehand. I thought I would need help but i was able to gather and sit by myself.

Someone tested it out on BuzzFeed and the ballgown style was an "eh" result with the bridal buddy. It overflows from the top of it. I think she said the best choice, excluding someone holding your gown, was the garbage bag for the ballgown.

Tinkerspu has the one I bought and neither one of us wore it except to try it on, ask her for it if you want to try it.

I had a mermaid dress with a big skirt. I just peed backwards. So essentially pee how a guy would, but walk forward and hover above the toilet. It's weird, but it works.
