So i dont know if any of you saw my post about my bridal shop ordering my dress 2 sizes smaller than what we agreed upon. After many phone calls, emails AND a visit there is no happy update. They have issued apologies, offered gift cards but will not refund the dress or rush order one. Im at a loss of words, and out of $2,200. I turned down the giftcards and ignored their apologies. They have blocked me on instagram and my phone number, and asked me to stop contacting them because i am “banned” from their store and they will only contact me when the dress arrives. I dont have it in the budget for my dream dress now, since we are already $30,000 in with planning and are paying for everything ourselves. We dont want to take out a loan to buy my wedding dress, so this weekend i am going dress shopping alone to find a cheap dress. So sad i have to settle, but everything happens for a reason and im happy i get to marry my FH.

Definitely take them to court. When you file, make it clear you want them to pay for your court fees AND alterations to the dress. David’s bridal can take out a dress two sizes. I’d find a personal seamstress to do the same.

Taking then to court will absolutely not be costly costly if you have the proof you say you do, because they have admitted fault and refuse to help you. They will have to be responsible for court costs since you gave them plenty of opportunities to make it right and they even acknowledged court is a possibility. Don’t let them get away with this!

The audacity of this place. I can't believe the way they are treating you for their mistake! If you didn't pay with a credit card, please take them to small claims court. It will only cost you a couple hundred bucks in filing fees, which I believe you can tack on to your claim as what they owe you. You deserve your money back. I am so sorry this is happening to you. What a nightmare!

Please, please post negative reviews for this place anywhere you can. If for nothing else but to save someone else from having to go through this!

I recommend taking them to small claims court. It is less than $200 to file your claim, you can file online, and you usually get your hearing date 30-45 days from filing. Alternatively, an attorney can quickly write a demand letter to the store demanding a refund. As an attorney, I do this all the time and it's only 1-2 hours of work. (Attorneys charge by the hour)

Also, report them to the BBB. Better Business Bureau in your area.

The Better Business Bureau is like an outdated Yelp. They don’t have any authority and no one under 45 uses them.

Emily, have you tried another boutique that sells this brand to find a manufacturer’s rep to help you?

You haven’t addressed whether you paid by cash or card but a card dispute would be your easiest answer.

If not, small claims court exists exactly for these types of scenarios. The fee is nominal and you can represent yourself. Don’t let them get away with this.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you.

If you didn't pay via credit card, I agree with other suggestions that you reach out to the sales rep or company until you get a response. I'm sure they can rush order you a new dress. Your wedding isn't until April, you still have plenty of time to get the dress you fell in love with.

It seems that you have a lot of support, if you're willing to post the manufacturer maybe folks can help you get a number to reach out to.

Good luck ! I'm sorry but am sure this will all work out.

Probably true, but some of us old fogies are paying for these weddings and we like to look at all sources for reviews.
